Your dream day is here! You’ve been super prepared throughout the whole planning process and now you’re just hours away from walking down that aisle to your declare your love with your partner, in front of your family and friends.

BUT - have you created a wedding day checklist? Of the things you need to have so you can enjoy your dream day and have no worries at all?

Never fear! We got you! Read through our list below to add these absolute ‘must-haves’ on your dream day :

COMFY SHOES

You may be the queen of heels and can last in those bad boys all night long, but trust me on this - your feet will thank you if you have some comfy flats to swap over at some point during the day or night. There’s a lot of walking and standing involved on your wedding day. There are so many amazing beautiful, sparkly flat wedding shoe options out there now, so they don’t have to be ugly or basic shoes either!

FOOD - THINK BREAKFAST OR BRUNCH OR A GRAZING PLATTER

Wedding days are long! Make sure you schedule in time to have a decent breakfast before you sit down for hair and makeup. And get that grazing platter out to keep everyone well fed throughout the morning. There’s bound to be a few bottles of champers making the rounds during the ‘getting ready’ phase of your day too so if you keep up the grazing, the less likely it is that the bubbles will go straight to your head! Don’t forget to keep hydrated too!

HOT TIP: Order 2 grazing platters for your wedding morning - one for each of the wedding party locations. The party in the other house will thank you for it… (and probably would not have thought of it on their own!)

A BEAUTY BAG

Your makeup artist will be creating your dream day look that will last day and night, but no doubt there’ll be touch ups needed. If you pack some powder, lipstick and other essentials in a bag for at the reception, you won’t get caught short!

AN EMERGENCY KIT

Emergency kits are a wedding planner's pride and joy. They are prepared for EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING a wedding day may throw at them. Whatever you think could happen, these kits include the tools to fix it. Start your kit with bobby pins, bandaids, painkillers, deodorant, a sewing kit, and super glue. If you have all these, you’re already winning. And keep an eye out for our blog post next week - we’ll go through everything you need to know about building your own Emergency Kit and what to include in it!

A RIGHT HAND WOMAN (OR MAN)

Even if you don’t have a wedding planner or a day-of coordinator, it’s a good idea to task someone close to you with being the ‘go-to’ for you on your dream day. This person will be the one that liaises with all the vendors should anything go wrong, and they should have a copy of your run sheet for the day to know what is going on, and when. If anything does go wrong, you want to find out about it later - having that person taking care of everything on the day means you aren’t stressing or worrying about things that are out of your control. And you get to enjoy your absolute dream day with your love.

Tell me - is there anything absolutely necessary I’ve missed? What did you swear by on your wedding day?
