Welcome to our new Vendor Spotlight series - exactly what the title suggests! We’ll be bringing you Q+A’s with the most amazing and beautiful vendors that operate right here in Perth and Western Australia.

Today, we chat to the beautiful Leah, from Soul Sista Florals.

How long have you been a florist?

I have been creating arrangements for a few years casually but started my business in October 2020

How many packages do you offer?

I don’t offer packages currently. Each couple can choose whatever wedding items they like! This allows each bride and groom to select the arrangements that are important to them. It allows them to have custom florals within their budget.

What is your favourite part of a wedding day?

Once all the flowers are set up and looking good! It’s such a great feeling knowing the couple and the wedding guests have a treat when they arrive.

Why did you choose to work on weddings?

They are so exciting and it’s such a happy day for everyone! I absolutely LOVE putting together magical creations for someone’s big day! It’s such a thrill and challenge all at the same time!

How far in advance do you prefer couples to book in with you?

Generally 6-10 months in advance, but we can work within a shorter lead time if needed!

Do you charge a delivery or travel fee?

Yes, I charge per KM for travel.

Do you require a minimum floral budget?

No, I don’t have a minimum spend. I’m happy to work with each couple and their budget. Once a bride and groom contacts me with their floral requirements and budget, I’ll let them know what is realistic and what their money will get them.

How many events can you take on for one day?

Currently I am only taking 1-2 events per day so that I can ensure I have enough time to set up and use of all my creative juices for those events.

How would you describe your floral design style?

My floral design style is very neutral, dreamy, romantic with a modern twist.

How long do you need to set up on the day?

As much time as possible! It’s depends on the scope of the wedding. Generally I like to have a good couple of hours to ensure everything is looking good and flows.

When should all florals be finalised by?

A minimum of 30 days before the wedding. We can add on small items if required, but no large changes. All of the flowers and vessels would have been ordered at this point.

What’s the number one piece of advice you give to a couple when planning their wedding?

Ask your vendors for their opinion! All of the decisions to do with a wedding can get so overwhelming! Ask your vendors what they suggest for your budget and let them help you fine-tune your wedding so you can get the most out value on your special day!
